Teaching is one of my favorite activity now. Why? Because teaching can make me know how to teach our students by using some materials and media easier. As a teacher, we are demanded to know the characteristics of our students. As we know, teaching learning is an activity to give and share knowledge to the students. Many preparation before teaching must be prepared by the teachers, how to make it interesting for them.
Since I have graduated from State Institute of Islamic Studies Padangsidimpuan in June 2014 . I tried to apply for a job in some of schools in my city, but I did not find a job. In November, I heard the information from State Institute of Islamic Studies Padangsidimpuan that there was a new campus program in Language Development Centre. Hearing the information I tried to apply for a job there. Finally I was lucky, I passed the test and I started to work in this campus since 2015. My first experienced when I taught at campus , I felt that I was nervous and I did not know how to teach my students even though I had preparation. But, my teacher said to me that I had to be calm and enjoy my teaching. She told me many procedures to teach in the classroom well. She gave me some suggestion how to be a good teacher in the future.
Many experiences and sources I've got when I taught firstly in my work. Every students like to learn by using some media, and every students have different characteristics. Being a teacher is not easy I think. We must choose the relevant media or technology to support our lesson to be more interesting for the students. Every day we must give them motivation to make them interested to the topics. Give some warmers or games before and after teaching to open their background knowledge about the topics.
As we know, technology is the most interesting for the students now. Teachers can also apply the technology or media to support their teaching. By learning ICT in ELT, I hope I can apply it in the classroom and find some methodologies about teaching learning process.
